Why does the schedule jump around so much?
Students will be learning a letter a week, beginning in Week 10 with the letter A. From Week 10 on, Sarita chose stories that match the letter of the week and it needs to jump around in the books in order to match. We do describe this in the introduction about Language Arts, but customers seem to be missing this. The new activities are also focused on the letter of the week. (5.14.10)

Developing the Early Learner

Customer description

Developing the Early Learner Update - The Record Sheet on the back cover of books 2-4 does not match the skills worked on in the book. There are other discrepancies including an extra row titled "Comprehension/Categories" that does not match any of the book content. Since we do not publish this book, we are unable to offer any corrections. (8.2.07)
Suggestion for resolution: If you look at the back cover of your workbook, you'll see an accurate list of the skills covered in Workbook 2.

MOTOR: L-R tracking, Hand-eye, Mazes; VISUAL: Similarities, Memory, Figure Ground; AUDITORY: Similarities, Memory, Rhyming; COMPREHENSION: Associations, Sequence, Language. I would go ahead and cross out the categories listed on your Record Sheet, and replace them with these. I believe you will be able to track your child's progress better that way. (9.25.13)

Why include this volume?

Why do we provide literature "treasuries" in Core P4/5 instead of individual books?

There is financial value to using a treasury. We tend, for the most part, to stay away from hardback books because they cost more, and they weigh more, thus costing more to ship (especially creating a hardship for our international customers). Also, in some cases, stories included in a treasury are no longer available as a single volume as they are out of print.
