Berenstain Bears 10.1.05

I think I would like to note: We were well aware of the general problems with Berenstain Bears books . . . which is why you will find we do not carry any others among them. And why we looked this one over with rather critical eyes!
We chose this book because it covers some pretty sophisticated science in clear, easy-to-understand language. (I.e., it's amazing science for any age, but especially for preschoolers.)
Sarita said, too, that though many of the BB books do go "over the top"--they're annoying, actually--in this volume, while dad IS a bumbler, he's not portrayed in any way as stupid. (Indeed, he does a lot of the teaching . . . and in a winsome manner.) And (as best we can remember), Mama Bear doesn't belittle him (in the way she tends to do in other volumes in the BB series).
Perhaps we should say something in the catalog concerning this book similar to what we say about Almost 12. (For Almost 12 we say, "Ours is the old version. We do not recommend the current version available from the publisher." Perhaps we could say something like [and I'd appreciate y'all's input on this]: "This Berenstain Bears book is unique. We do not recommend others in the series.")
