TT PreCalculus update (4.11.17)

There were a small number of curriculum errors in the original printing - technically 2 that we're aware of - and we did not issue replacements for the error in Problem Set 31, Problem 19. Those are listed on our website under the "Errors" link at the bottom of the page. However, we did have a couple of defective lessons on Disc 3, which we do issue free replacements for. We informed our customers via email, Facebook, and the "News" section of our website, and we will gladly send out a replacement disc if this customer has a bad disc 3. If they are unable to complete the Lecture for lesson 52 on that disc, then it is certainly the defective one. They can contact us via the toll-free number below, or email us at [email protected] and we will get that processed for them. All we will need is a valid shipping address, and they can expect the disc to arrive in 3-5 business days.

TT PreCalculus Update (updated 8.25.16)

The August release of Pre-Calculus 2.0 has been delayed. Thus the publisher has created two methods of getting lessons to the customer:

  • The first 36 lessons will be posted online. Teaching Textbooks will send an email that gives the customer a link to the first 36 lessons (40% of the course). Grades generated from these online lessons will be stored in an online gradebook and can easily be transferred to a local computer after the physical product is received.
  • The physical product will be shipped in two parts. The first two DVDs are scheduled to ship at the end of September. Final two DVDs and printed textbook and answer key are scheduled to ship in October. We will ship from Sonlight as soon as we receive from the publisher.
  • Price of a complete set will remain the same.
  • Customers will be able to pre-order through Sonlight.
  • If a customer already owns a Pre-Calculus complete set and would like to upgrade, that option will be available.
    • If a new Pre-Calc complete set was purchased at any time in 2016, customer can upgrade for free by sending in their old set.
    • If a new Pre-Calc complete set was purchased before 2016, or a used complete set was purchased at any time, customer can upgrade for half the retail price by sending in their old set.

TT Geometry Upgrade Update (9.24.13)

  • Remaining TT Geometry CDs are due to ship from our warehouse on 9.25.13.
  • The publisher has just informed us that there is a problem with Disc 1. They have posted a patch on their site which customers can use to correct their current installation.
  • Delivery of the final group of CDs, textbook and answer key has been pushed out to mid-September (TT is saying 9/11/13, but we are telling customers mid-September)

TT Geometry Upgrade Update (8.5.13)

  • Geometry Upgrade will not be complete on the expected date.
  • The first 4 CDs of Geometry 2.0 will be shipped out to Sonlight (hope to have them by 8/9/13). We will then send them on to Geometry customers.
    • The first 4 CDs will include the first 45 lessons and first 6 chapter tests.
  • In late August, the textbook, answer key, and final 8 CDs will ship
  • First 27 lessons have been posted online for those who need to start before the first shipment arrives.
    • NOTE: Any grades that are generated wile doing online lessons CANNOT be exported to the gradebook once the product arrives.
    • If customer wants a record of the grades for an online assignment, be sure to PRINT them out before closing browser window

Details for TT Geometry Upgrade (4.3.13)

  • TT is scheduled to release this new product the first week of August.
  • They will discontinue the older 1.0 version effective May 1st.
  • Anyone that ordered the 1.0 version any time after December 31, 2012 will be eligible for a FREE upgrade.
  • All others that ordered prior to 2013 will be able to upgrade for $92.45, half price of the complete set.
  • TT will send out a notification email to all its customers, and post on their site and Facebook page, on May 1st.

Details for TT Algebra 2 Upgrade (updated 8.3.12)

  • We expect to have TT Algebra 2 Ver. 2.0 in our warehouse on 8/24/12.
    • NOTE: TT is running behind schedule with this upgrade. For those customers who cannot wait, TT is working out a system to get them the first 2 discs and the text/answer key early. We are NOT participating in this. We will ship the entire set when it becomes available.
  • Anyone that ordered the 1.0 version in 2012 will be eligible for a free exchange
  • Anyone who ordered the 1.0 version prior to 2012 will be able to upgrade for $92.45, half price of the complete set.
  • TT will send out a mass email to all of their customers once details are determined

Process Details for TT Algebra 2 Upgrade (6.28.12)

  • If a customer purchased a new Algebra 2 complete set any time in 2012, it may be exchanged for a 2.0 version for free. To qualify for the exchange they must:
    • have purchased the product new directly from Sonlight this year.
    • return *all* of their CDs, along with the CD holders, textbook, and answer key to us.
  • NOTE: All the product parts mentioned must be included in the package. We are unable to allow for a lone 1.0 textbook to 2.0 textbook swap, or a lone CD set swap.
  • If a customer purchased an Algebra 2 complete set prior to 2012, they may exchange that set for a matching 2.0 complete set for $92.45. The customer may purchase the upgrade through Sonlight.
  • To qualify for the exchange, they must:
    • have purchased the product new directly from Sonlight.
    • return *all* of their CDs, along with the CD holders, textbook, and answer key to us.
  • NOTE: We will ship the new version to the customer for free, but will not reimburse for the cost of returning the old.
  • This offer EXPIRES ON MAY 15, 2013.

Process Details for TT PreAlgebra and Algebra 1 Upgrade (8.26.11)

  • If a customer purchased a new Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1 complete set any time in 2011, it may be exchanged for a 2.0 version for free. To qualify for the exchange they must:
    • have purchased the product new directly from Sonlight this year.
    • return *all* of their CDs, along with the CD holders, textbook, and answer key to us.

Teaching Textbooks PreAlgebra and Algebra 1 Upgrade

  • We will send a short email to the 156 customers who purchased PreAlg or Alg 1 since 1/1/11. These few customers will receive a FREE upgrade to their new 2.0 version.
  • TT is sending an email to all their customers explaining the options for the new version:
    • FREE upgrade to those who purchased the older version between 1/1/2011 and early April when we all stopped selling
    • $92.50 upgrade offer to those who purchased PreAlg or Alg 1 PRIOR to 1/1/2011
    • General announcement to "everybody else, including those that have activated one or more of the lower levels"
  • We will provide our customers who qualify for FREE upgrade extra special treatment - so we will let them know via email that it is time to return their older version (when we KNOW our stock is on the way to us). When we receive their return, we will ship the upgrade immediately. This should save our customers *weeks* of being without their program.
  • Our customers from the past (prior to 1/1/11) will simply be referred to TT to handle any $92.50 upgrade requests.

Teaching Textbooks PreAlgebra and Algebra 1 backordered - a new version will be released on August 1st. We are no longer selling the current version and have backordered until the new version becomes available. (UPDATED: 5.23.11)

  • We will offer an upgrade of 50% off to past purchasers (even those who purchased used, as long as they return the complete set) AND free to those who purchased version 1.0 during 2011.
  • Logistics of how to return product and gain the 50% discount is still in the works.

Algebra 2 or Geometry after Algebra 1?

Mathematically, Geometry and Algebra 2 can be done in either order. However, if a student is in 10th grade or higher, it is probably better to take Geometry first for standardized testing reasons.
