TT will allow customers who purchased through SL to obtain replacement CD's''' for damaged or lost CD's for $15. The customer will need to contact TT directly.

The updated sets of lecture and practice CDs are now in our warehouse. This should cover all the "bad sets" we received since we started ordering the Pre-Calculus product. These replacement CDs will be sent out to the appropriate customers along with a short note to be included in the package. 10.7.09

Customer email getting ready to send ... we are offering the following:

  • This CD-ROM should work fine through Lesson 9. When you get to Lesson 10 (which will play for about 30 minutes), you'll start encountering incomplete lectures.
  • For now, please turn to your textbook to finish Lesson 10 and any others that are incomplete. The textbook contains all of the content in the lecture, so you will not miss any information.
  • In early October, Teaching Textbooks will post complete versions of the lectures on their website. As soon as these lectures are available, I will email the URL and passcode you'll need to access them.
  • In approximately a month, we should have new CD-ROMs from Teaching Textbooks that will replace the compromised CD-ROM you currently have. We will ship these to you as soon as we have them. We'll also include a postage-paid return envelope for you to return your flawed CD-ROM to Teaching Textbooks.
  • We are also including a $5 coupon code

The problem with the CDs is only with those lectures that are more than 33 minutes long (approximately 18 lectures). (9.26.09)

  • Remind customers that the "missing" content in the video lectures that don't work is still found in the student text. (9.26.09)
  • There are technical problems with the CDs (audio works, no video). TT is aware, but has no fix date yet. SL is working on a response for our customers.
  • TT intends to replace the CD's within a month or so (as of 9.25.09)
  • TT intends to post corrected videos online within a few days that customers can reference. The videos that had the problems are the lecture videos that contain more than 33 minutes of information
  • More info to come; feel free to still recommend TT to customers as we should have solid solution in place soon.

2009 Update
TT still does not have the CDs ready as promised. Thus, we have split the TT Pre-Calc package into two items:

  • 471-21 - Textbook and Answer Key
  • 471-22 - CD Combo
  • The Textbook and Answer key are available for purchase now. The CD combo has been backordered. Warning message on web site product page. (4.8.09)

We have decided not to carry this product until it is complete. TT is offering Pre-Calculus on their site as a partial product (CDs include solutions to all problems, but no lectures). They have 5 CDs ready now, the last 6 CDs will be released on November 2008. Until we have them available, customers will have to purchase directly from TT if they are comfortable with a partial product. (9.12.08)
