- Removed: Introduction to Biology
- Replaced with: Real Science 4 Kids: Biology, Level 1 -- we will have our own student activity sheets for this title.
Science 3 IG Errors
- Week 4 (4-day) - Day 5 assignment for TOPS #38 should read pg. 77 #424. (8.8.08)
- Weeks 5 & 6 (4-day) - Discover & Do Schedules for these weeks were switched. Curriculum update will be posted. (10.22.08)
- Week 7 - Student Activity Sheet question #422 asks for information the student has not yet learned (identify functions of different parts of a plant). This occurred as a result of shifting materials to add the new biology book. Please ask parents to skip this question if it is problematic for them. We will correct for 2009. (7.10.08)
- Week 8 (4-day) - There should be no Discover & Do assignments for this week. (10.22.08)
- Student Activity Sheets page 2 - Question #7 answer is incorrect in the answer key. It should be the first choice (Because frogs live on both land and water and cats nurse their young). (9.30.08)
- Student Activity Sheets page 96 - Question #580 is missing the numbers on the crossword puzzle. Correction will be posted. Resolved for 2009. (5.5.09)
Science 3 Supply Kit contents - Here is a photo of the kit: http://www.sonlight.com/uploads/3sk-big. jpg. [To email - remove space before jpg.] In the photo, you'll see the pinto beans at the top and corn kernels at the bottom. Underneath the corn and to the left is the packet of lentils. Lentils are greenish-brown and rather flat circles. On top of the corn and to the right is the radish seeds packet. These are the smallest seeds in your kit. And sandwiched between the corn and pinto beans are the wheat kernels. The wheat is brown in color and somewhat long and skinny.
Little Encyclopedia of Seas and Oceans (3S02) - The publisher has stopped printing First Encyclopedia of Seas and Oceans and has replaced it with this title. We were not informed of this change, thus the product photo and title on our web site is incorrect. These will be remedied. While the title and size of this book have changed, the content apparently has not. (5.5.08)
Usborne Science Encyclopedia (3S03) - we carry the "miniature" version of this book because the larger size version was significantly more expensive and went out of print in June 2006. (4.17.08)
Order Glitch (4.7.08) Some customers have received two copies of Mysteries & Marvels of Nature instead of one copy of that title and one copy of Usborne First Encyclopedia of Seas and Oceans. This was a warehouse error which has now been resolved. Please refer the customer to CF if you come across someone with this complaint.
Lyrical Life Science 3 Within the book they do not list the chapter number on the appropriate pages, but if you look at the Table of Contents at the very beginning it does list the chapter number and name. The current (2008) IG goes by chapter number, not name, so the customer must look at the front of the LLS book to know what page to which it refers. (5.6.08)
