Locating the SCA Calendar [updated 1.31.08]
You will find the Calendar button at the middle of the blue bar at the top of the forums http://www.sonlight-forums.com/index.php (though it is at the top of every forum page as well). The SCA calendar should be the default so it is the one you see. If you need a different calendar, you will find a drop down menu in the lower right corner. Click on the arrow and select the appropriate calendar.
SCA AVAILABILITY CALENDAR
TIME COMMITMENT: The facilitator keeps a chart listing the number of hours per week you are willing to work. Be sure to update her if your weekly availability changes. The norm is a commitment of 20 hours per week. Those who commit to 20 hours per week receive preferential treatment for the purposes of setting the schedule and they will receive their full hours before others will limited availability are scheduled. No more than one week vacation throughout the summer is excepted from the 20 hours per week expectation to be considered for preferential scheduling.
SHIFTS:
The schedule is broken into shifts to allow you flexibility in the time you report to work. You are welcome to start at any point during the 3 hour shift. Advisors will complete the full number of hours for which you are scheduled regardless of the time they start.
- Email Before Hours: Need to be logged out by 8:30 MT unless CA authorizes extended time (based on licenses available)
- Shift A: 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM, Mountain Time [no contact advisor available; phone calls only between 8 AM and 8 PM in the customer's time zone]
- Shift B: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Mountain Time
- Shift C: 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, Mountain Time
- Shift D: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Mountain Time
- Shift E: 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM, Mountain Time[no contact advisor available after 4:30 PM MT]
- Shift F: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, Mountain Time [no contact advisor available, phone calls only between 8 AM and 8 PM in the customer's time zone]
- Email after hours: Can log in after 6:30 shift, unless CA authorizes a different time (based on licenses available)
POSTING YOUR AVAILABILITY:
On Sunday for each week post the days you prefer (i.e. Jane - M,W,F). If your daily availability remains the same, feel free to post on Sunday (i.e. Jane - MWF 4B,C,D)
On each day for which you are available put your name, the number of hours available, and the shift(s) you are available. The more times you list the better, as it allows us to meet the needs of the team. Please be flexible. (i.e. Jane - 4B, C, D)
All of this information will allow us to schedule you in a way that meets your needs and the needs of the Advisor Team. Thank you.
SCA SCHEDULE
The schedule is completed 1 week at a time, except for holidays.
By Tuesday or Wednesday of the final week of the current schedule the facilitator will send out a potential schedule to all Advisors. She will include a deadline for changes. The purpose of the potential schedule is to allow advisors to correct any schedule errors. Please be sure the calendar is accurate prior to the schedule being set. After the potential schedule has been accepted by advisors and the deadline has passed, the schedule will be posted or emailed.
After the schedule has been finalized it needs to be viewed as 'set in stone'. Requests for changes should be few and far between; basically there should be no changes to the schedule barring an emergency. Frivolous or numerous requests for changes may result in the advisor being removed from the schedule for those days.
