Language Arts Language Arts D is no longer available as a separate subject. It is integrated directly into the Core D IG.

2012 Core D IG Errors:

  • Weeks 4, 10, 20 and 31 - Story Starter example paragraphs incorrect. They have been mixed up between weeks. A correction pdf will be posted on the Curriculum Updates page this week. (10.29.12)
  • Week 7 - LA assignment requires student to write a paragraph about why settlers chose to settle in Jamestown. The assignment is too early as no real study of Jamestown has occurred yet. I would recommend having the student write on a different topic. Perhaps base the assignment on having read The Very First Americans and ask the student to give a brief explanation of how the first Americans lived. What did they eat? What were their houses like? Book defects, backorders, edition changes, etc.:

  • Lawn Boy - cover change only. Still copyright 2007. Same images on cover, just moved around. (9/2012)
  • Core D Tips CD - last minute changes to the Instructor's Guide schedule resulted in a mismatch between the Core assignments and the Tips activities. Customers were sent a cover letter which directs them to the Core D Tips CD Update. Please verify that the customer purchased the 2012 Core D Tips CD before providing the link. (7.13.12)
  • The Bears on Hemlock Mountain - new cover only (5/2012)
