Anticipated 2009 IG release dates
2008 Core 300 IG Errors:
- Scheduling error for Our Century in Pictures - When we began using Visual History we apparently changed the pace of dates studied, and did not change the pace of Our Century. Thus, some of the dates in Our Century will match the dates studied in Visual History and some will not. This will be updated for 2009. An updated schedule will be added to the Curriculum Updates page, but probably not until April. (2.10.09)
- Scheduling error for Know What You Believe and Know Why You Believe. - Core 300 IG has schedule for the 2008 edition of both of these books. However, we are still selling the 2003 and 2000 (respectively) editions of these books (until stock is gone). A correction schedule will be posted on the Curriculum Updates page for those customers who have the 2003 and 2000 books. (5.22.08)
- Weeks 4-8 schedule pages were inadvertently placed behind Week 25. (5.28.08) Update - Curriculum update note posted. Copies still in-house were corrected. (6.5.08)
- Weeks 8-9 - The Great Gatsby schedule refers to End Notes and the Study Guide introduction refers to a Preface and End Notes. These are references that should have been removed in 2006 when we began selling a newer edition of this title. There is no preface or explanatory end notes in the version we currently carry. - Language Arts Study Guide - Week 14 - Assignment directs student to read portion of an article. This article is actually found on page 24 of the LA Study Guide beginning with, "Social movements by their very nature demand change..." and ending with, "... children also become victims..." on page 25. 12.3.08
- Language Arts Study Guide - Week 17 - Assignment references an article titled Perspectives. The formatting is off, so it is difficult to find this article. It begins on page 33, third paragraph in the left column (My missionary career has gone downhill...). It is four paragraphs long. (9.3.08)
- Language Arts Study Guide - Week 25 - Assignment references an article titled Inside the Church in China. The formatting is off, so it is difficult to find this article. It starts on page 42, with a bold underlined Inside the Church of China. The paragraphs are numbered and go all the way to #45 on page 45. (9.3.08)
- History Study Guide - Visual History of the Modern World - IG refers to a link on the IG web links page. The link is missing from that page. It is http://www.spanamwar.com/Philippines.htm. (9.24.08)
Book defects, backorders, edition changes, etc.
- Fallen Angels (320-40) - This edition first printing May 2008. Cover change only. (7.31.08)
- A Brave New World (330-13) - copyright 2006 Harper Perennial Modern Classics. Page numbers have changed but content has not. Since this is scheduled by chapter, no change to the IG needed. There is no longer a Forward in the book. In its place in the schedule (Week 13/Day 5) student should read About the Book on pp. 8-11 in the back of the book. Curriculum Update has been posted. - Know What You Believe (310-10) - copyright 2008. Page numbers have changed, which affects the assignments in the Core 300 IG. Schedule has been updated for 2008 IG. (5.5.08)
- Know Why You Believe (310-15) - copyright 2008. Page numbers have changed, which affects the assignments in the Core 300 IG. Schedule has been updated for 2008 IG. (5.5.08)
Upper level Core updates
Cores 100, 200, 300 and 400 are currently being updated (Study Guides). These updates will be incorporated for the 2009 catalog season. The history update for Core 300 will be done for the 2008 catalog season. (2.08)
Update (1.25.08) - We will not have updated answers for the Core 300 Study Guide questions for 2008. It was our intent, but we were not able to achieve for this year. If customers have kept their Core 300 IG in anticipation of the answers being provided, we are glad to give them a refund (Advisors please refer up/SCCs refer to Judy). If there are some that consider this a barrier to purchase, then we should encourage them not to purchase. We will have a new "spine" to replace the 20th Century CD-ROM and there will be a Study Guide provided.
