NewComer Packages [MSP Multi Subject Package IG order]
New in 2008 catalog.
Our Newcomer packages are indeed a slight variation on this year's CoreUltra packages. They are designed for, as the title implies, new homeschoolers or those new to Sonlight. We have not taken away the ability to "customize", so you can certainly still build your own package to meet the specific needs of your homeschool. If you are already a Sonlighter, you most likely would not use a Newcomer package anyway.
Newcomer packages are indeed "grade oriented" in that, for example, Newcomer 1 would usually be used by students in 1st grade, Newcomer 3 would usually be used by students in 3rd grade, and so on. A Newcomer package will contain everything you need for one student for one school year. It is truly a "one click" shopping experience.
Newcomer IGs
- Schedule pages (and weekly notes) are filed behind the appropriate weekly divider tabs (Core, then LA, then Science). Reader Guide schedule pages are filed between the Core and LA schedule pages in K-2.
- Study Guides are filed behind the appropriate divider tabs in the larger binder.
- Science Answer Key pages are filed at the very back of the large binder, behind the Study Guides.
- Science Activity Sheets are filed in the 1" binder.
- Language Arts Activity Sheets are filed after the weekly tabs in the larger binder.
