Science 3 IG Errors

  • Discover & Do - schedule in IG is incorrect. Corrected schedule pdf will be posted on our Curriculum Updates page. (12.15.09)
  • Week 3 - Activity Sheet #12, Questions 19-23 are misplaced. These questions go with The Usborne Science Encyclopedia (pp. 38-39) and belong in Week 13. Please skip over them in Week 3 (only questions #12-18 should be scheduled for that day) and return to them on Day 5 of Week 13. Update file posted on updates page. (7.16.09)
  • Week 5 - Student Activity Sheets #25-27 are missing from the IG. Questions from these pages are also missing from the weekly schedule, as well as the corresponding answer keys. The following action has been taken:
    • We have printed corrections to send to customers who purchased 3TS from 4.1.09 to 5.6.09.
    • We will attach the correction to 3TS with an explanatory letter for future purchasers.
    • We have corrected the error for future printings.

First Encyclopedia of Seas & Oceans Many of the chapters in this book are duplicated in the Core/Science K title Usborne Internet Linked Children's Encyclopedia. However, the entire book is not duplicated, so customers do need this title to do Science 3. (12.3.09)

Lyrical Life Science 3 Within the book they do not list the chapter number on the appropriate pages, but if you look at the Table of Contents at the very beginning it does list the chapter number and name. The current (2008) IG goes by chapter number, not name, so the customer must look at the front of the LLS book to know what page to which it refers. (5.6.08)

Supplies Kit

The plastic cups in your Science 3 supplies kit may be used with the TOPS books. The Corn & Beans book suggests baby food jars, but we include the larger plastic cups for the benefit of those who may not have access to baby food jars. The Radishes book calls for film canisters, and you can use the smaller plastic cups if you don't have a source for film canisters.
