Shipping science supply kits overseas
[Especially the biology kit.] Have the client contact customs in their country, and forward the request to customer service for information on our previous experience with that location.
Bulb holders
Sonlight has always used the same type of bulb holder in all supply kits. You do not unscrew it (as my be indicated in the experiment books), but instead wrap the wire around the clip at the bottom to achieve the connection. The bulb holders are either blue or red.
How can I find individual items for the science experiments?
SL does not sell science supplies individually. TOPS books contain suggested outlets for all supplies needed for their experiments.
AP Chemistry supply kits Exploration 3 Chemistry kit and Advanced Chemistry supplies pack are packaged by another company and distributed by SL. (SL choose not to be involved in all the paperwork of putting together chemicals for interstate and international shipments.)
NSK
The number of thumbtacks included in NSK is not 20, only , roughly, 5. The tacks are used in all grades...but, in first grade science there is one experiment that uses a bunch of tacks. We added a note to the IG that the child should use paperclips in lieu of tacks since we are already providing an entire box of clips. Tacks are getting hard to get, almost obsolete, because there are push pins
