Some of these pages include 24-25, 34-35, 48-49, 282-289. Some of the pages are scheduled in the Science K IG, but not in the Core K IG. Others are not scheduled in either IG. NOTE: This title is also used in the Science K program, "Biology, Botany, and Physics." Not all pages are scheduled in "Introduction to the World Cultures"; however, we have included notes for some of these unscheduled sections. Please enjoy this extra information. (10.26.10)

Some feedback on evolution in Children's Encyclopedia
- From Robert at SL
- Sonlight presents various perspectives on the age of the earth and evolution, while upholding God as Creator and Designer. Yes, as others have noted there are a variety of positions on these issues such as non-theistic evolution (naturalism), theistic evolution, young earth creationism, and old earth creationism.
- We try to offer balanced perspectives via our IG Notes, but are not specifically championing any particular approach to the age of the earth. As such, you will find books in our curricula that make mention of millions or billions of years, but you will also find books that mention a young earth and thousands of years. In either case we seek to balance these perspectives via our Notes and, of course, by leaving specifics to parents to discuss with their children.
- We are always eager to hear from customers and to improve our curricula on the basis of your suggestions and comments, so please do feel free to voice any concerns, provide comments, and offer suggestions.

- What an awesome opportunity you had today ... to spend an hour reading the creation story and discussing with your children. You have planted a seed which you may now water every time this topic comes up. And speaking from personal experience ... I suspect you'll be pleasantly surprised at just how much discernment in this area your young children will develop.
