Apologia General Science 2nd Edition
Apologia will release the 2nd edition of General Science sometime in Spring 2008 (date unknown). We will plan to carry the 2nd edition, but not until the update of the associated Schedule Plus is completed. (1.2.08)
Instructions for using Plaster Experiments 6.3 and 7.1
Use 1 cup of dry plaster for 6.3, page 146. Use ½ cup of dry plaster for 7.1, page 162. Use cold water when mixing. Add Plaster of Paris to clear water in container. 1 cup plaster to scant ½ cup cold water. ½ cup plaster to scant ¼ cup cold water. If mixture is too thick – add more water by the ¼ spoonful. Will harden within 30 minutes. WARNING! Wash hands and surfaces thoroughly when finished!
Experiment 6.2, page 143. We have provided ½ cup of sand and ½ cup of gravel. Use ½ cup dirt from your yard or garden to complete the requirements of the experiment.
