- In Section 1 there is a list of 'needed items' - great selling point!
- The order of the pages in the LA IG's is NOT the same as the other IG's. [The Notes and student pages are found immediately after the schedule page.]
LA K Details There have been a number of questions about the phonics and language instruction in K - how it was changed. Here are my impressions:
- There are a great deal more oral language assignments that work on a variety of language skills- just about weekly and sometimes more than one per week.
- There are increased kinesthetic activities, using cards you cut-out, creating felt/sandpaper letters, etc.
- The phonics instruction has been slightly increased (not a huge increase, but noticable) but not in written form - either using the cut out cards or orally

LA Recommendations for multiple students
- Core K - 2 with a student older or younger than the core 'level' --- use the LA matching their readers, so each child has their own LA and readers.
- Core 4 - 6 with a younger student -- they would use the LA and readers from grade K - 3rd through 5th (this will work for students up to 5th grade using core 6)
- Core 4 - 6 with an older student -- use the optional LA workbooks in addition to the LA that matches the readers
