Clarified forum permissions
1. 30 day trial – can post in public forums (Choosing, My Access, Technical Assistance), can read private forums (all others)
2. after 30 day trial – can post in public forums, cannot see any other forums exist
3. Full forum access – can read and post in all forums
Ramifications of forum change on advisor responses
1. Forums are a product, just like the sweatshirt or T-shirt, change our thinking to up-sell this new product
2. Forums are significant benefit for purchasing a core or higher (or the IG from SL)
3. Clarify questions as choosing or using

i.Choosing questions (for any SL product) can be referred to Choosing forum (use that forums url)

ii.Using questions

1.customer has access to Advisor team for customer support

2.up-sell forum as product, “If you’d like to see what others are doing you could take a look using 30 day trial, then if you find it helpful you can purchase full forum access or if you purchase abc you will receive this product as a free gift.”

3.Do not refer to forums for using question

4.Can use search feature in private forums if in 30 day trial, but avoid referring to private forums

Avoid complicating forum details, level of technological understanding may be low
If you refer to choosing or to view the public forums, up-sell opportunity to buy forum access
Some people like to do lots of research. If we start seeing comments that their 30 day trial has expired before they are ready to buy, be sure to let us know and up-sell the forum product.
