Main > SCA Proc > Before your first day...
Before your first day in training spend a couple of hours reviewing the content of the intranet. Start in the Advisor Procedures category. All of this information will help you prepare to respond directly to clients. You can log up to two hours as training time on your invoice! [We track our hours on the Recap found on the Forms page. You will just log the time in the Training column for the applicable date for the time being.] No one expects you to internalize ALL of this information. The goal is to get the big picture of what advisors do, to familiarize yourself with Wiki so you know where to look for the details when you need them.
All advisors need to set up a gmail/Google Talk account http://www.google.com/talk/ with the members of the advisor team listed in your buddy list. This way you have instant access to veteran advisors just about all the time. It is a great way to get fast help with questions!
Be sure to download Mumble so you can participate in the advisor conference calls held every other week.
After you are familiar with the entire Procedures category, then branch out into the rest of the Advisor intranet. Be sure to visit the forum and post any questions you have! The entire Advisor team is ready and willing to help in any way!
Finally, be sure you receive the bi-weekly ezine, the Beam. If you do not email me so we can make sure you get signed up.
The Facilitator will provide you with:
- A user name and password for your new Sonlight Email Address. Read the Web Based Email Instructions for details on its use.
- Access to the Marketing Forum, our private forum for off-site reps
- Access to Footprints (where we track the customer contacts), as well as set up your home page for you
- And, of course, access to Wiki
If you have any questions - do not hesitate to ask!

Before your first training session on email print off the Email instructions for Footprints, a copy of the 2008 Black & White hard copy log , and the Footprints Quick Reply Internal Solutions. Also, save the SCA Recap to your computer hard-drive under your name. Recap. 2008. Then you're all ready to be trained on email!
