  • The only states at this point who have passed legislation allowing "approved parent taught programs" are CA, CO, MN, NM, OK, and TX.
  • There are approximately 30 states who have no legislation requiring any type of driver educations
  • Most states who require teens take a traditional style driver ed course also require the parent to supervise a certain number of hours of behind the wheel training (true in WA and IL - 50 hours).

In Driver's Ed there is a registration page the purchaser is to fill out and return to Driver's Ed. Theythen mail out the state supplement (usually the list of rules and a page they can take to their insurance agent or when they go to take the test). The state info is included on the CD Rom version of the product.
