We hope to have a resolution in place next week. We will provide another update no later than 5:00pm (MT) Tuesday, April 20, 2010. We are extremely sorry for this delay. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
New Time Payment Options for 2010
PLEASE DO NOT SHARE ANY OF THIS YET WITH CUSTOMERS.
- Two Time Payment plans with No Interest (Fee)
- April 1 - June 30: Offer a 6 month and a 3 month payment plan
- July 1 - March 31: Offer only a 3 month payment plan
- Down payment of 25% (same as in 2009), the balance divided by the 6 or 3 months
We are hopeful the technical requirements to make these options available will be online soon.
7.9.08 - Much requested perk for customers has now been instituted. Customers who place a time payment order will now receive their time payment schedule included in their confirmation email. We are also in the process of programming the system to send an automatic email whenever we charge for the next installment. We will also send a Congratulations email when we charge for the last payment.
Here are just a few of the benefits of the new Time Payment option:
- You can order the materials you want without worrying about the up-front expenses.
- You will have cash or available credit on your card for other necessities.
- When you order the products you need, you will be prompted at check-out if your order is eligible for Time Payment.
And it’s so easy to take advantage of! Here’s how it works:
- Place an order of $399 or more.
- After credit approval, pay 1/3 of the total -- which includes any shipping fees (foreign orders), taxes (Colorado residents), and a small handling fee*.
- Then, once a month for the next 3 or 6 months, we’ll charge the balance to your credit card.

Here are the terms and conditions for Time Payments:
- Minimum order total is $399.
- Qualification is dependent on passing a credit check successfully.
- Time payment option will not show up in the check-out process unless the order is at least $399 and the customer does not have another open time payment order.
- The initial payment at time of shipment is 1/4 of the total.
- The balance is charged to their credit card as monthly payments on the balance. These charges are made approximately every 30 days from the invoice (shipment) date
A couple of things to note:
- All of the calculations are done for the customer *before* they agree to the time payments.
- If a customer already has a time payment order in progress, they will not be able to place a second order with time payment.
- A customer can be "denied" time payment if their credit check isn't good.
Customer mistakenly chooses time payment option 8.27.05
If a customer mistakenly chooses time payments on their order, and then decides they really didn't want to ... here is the procedure for having time payments removed:
If the order has not yet printed, we can change it before any work and expense has been incurred due to the selection of time-payments. So if the customer calls quickly, we happily make the change if they agree to allow us to charge the full order amount to their credit card. We do not charge them the handling fee since we haven't paid for a credit check, spent time setting up and scheduling the time payments.
If the order has printed, we have paid for a credit check and the spent time setting up and scheduling the time payments. We will remove the time payment and charge the entire amount to the credit card. This amount includes the handling fee because we have spent the time and money.
Get their email address (if they have one) so we can contact them via email and reassign the ticket to the SCA Facilitator.
Canadian Time Payment Option 6.29.05
Customers whose billing address is in Canada can access the time payment option as of 6-23-05.
Order History when using Time payments
When a customer submits an order using time payments their order status will show "TRM Hold", meaning it is on hold while we conduct a credit check.
Once the credit check clears and we can process their down payment they will see "Open". If their credit is declined we will contact the customer to discuss other options (pay in full or cancel this order and they can place a new order). Their credit card will be charged the down payment amount when their order ships, as usual.
