Missionary Policy update 6.19.09

  1. It is a subsidy, not a discount (someone pays the difference for them, subsidizing their purchase).
  2. A customer taking advantage of the subsidy can still receive the repurchase discount.
  3. A customer taking advantage of the subsidy will not receive the HLM or CLB discount.
  4. While customer doesn't receive the 10% discount, they do still receive the other benefits (i.e. forum acces, etc...)

If customer requests missionary discount, please refer to CR for application information. DO NOT confirm a discount is available, just state CR will be able to provide them with any information available. Updated 6.19.09 - Subsidy has been modified to include US missionaries with approved agencies who raise their own support.

Financial Support for Overseas Missionaries:

In an effort to provide continuing support to missionaries in the field, an anonymous donor has agreed to work with Sonlight Curriculum, Ltd. to share some of the cost of our products and services. Qualified missionaries now have the opportunity to receive our curriculum at a great discount!

To be able to provide support in a reasonable and consistent manner, we will authorize missionaries in the following manner:

We will offer a 25% discount on all purchases, excluding certain items that we are not permitted by vendors to sell at a discount, for all overseas missionaries that are affiliated with your agency.

You will qualify for the overseas missionary discount based upon the following criteria:

  1. You must be a bonafide Christian mission agency with a verified 501C3 (non-profit) number
  2. Missionaries must be serving on location outside of the Untied States of America

You will be approved for this level of discount through the following process:

  1. We will verify your qualification through the attached Application for Missionary Discount.
  2. Overseas Missionaries so identified and approved will be entered into our business system and coded with a missionary discount code for 25%.
  3. Missionaries will not receive cumulative discounts. This discount will be the only discount applied to each order processed.
