In May, 2004 we replaced our current standard shipping method--the U.S. Postal Service--with new UPS Ground shipping for all orders being shipped to Canada.
In the past, standard shipping to Canada was handled by the U.S. Postal Service. Order shipments could take up to six weeks for delivery, and the shipments could not be tracked.
Standard shipping to Canada will now be handled by UPS Ground. Once shipped, your order should arrive within 6-10 days. Plus, you'll be able to track your order the entire way.
With this improvement in our shipping policy, we have had to change how we collect GST tax. Up until now, we did not collect GST because it was collected at the time of delivery. But now GST will have to be paid at the time you place your order.
Another benefit of this change: if you order "by chart" and happen to have a backordered item, we will no longer hold up the entire shipment while we wait for the backordered item(s). Instead, we will immediately ship you everything that is in stock. Then, when the backordered item(s) are back in stock, we will ship them free to your Canadian address via UPS Ground.
Per our free gift chart, you will receive free standard shipping on any order that totals $100 or more. So if you live in Canada and place an order of $100 or more, you will now receive free shipping via UPS Ground (instead of free shipping via the USPS).
If you have only a P.O. box, you will be exempt from the new shipping policy. We will continue to send orders to your P.O. box address via the U.S. Postal Service and you will be required to pay GST at the time of delivery.
