Auto Email Sequence after a catalog request
Below is the automatic email series we send out when someone requests a catalog.
[sent immediately]
Dear {FIRSTNAME Friend},
Welcome to Sonlight Curriculum and thank you for requesting a catalog!
We've invested thousands of hours to create an easy-to-use catalog that is packed with valuable information. In it you'll find much more than product descriptions: you'll also find articles that explain where Sonlight came from and why it's in business; relative difficulty charts that will help you properly place your student in our curriculum; scope and sequence charts that detail what your student will cover when; and much more.
You may have questions as you go through the catalog. If so, please send an email to [email protected], or call 303-730-6292. Client Relations will be glad to quickly answer any questions you may have.
Sincerely,

Dear {FIRSTNAME Friend},
I just wanted to let you know that we've mailed your catalog. If you live in the continental United States, you should expect to receive it within 5-7 business days, depending on your local mail service.
When you receive your catalog, you may be somewhat daunted by its size (it's 148 pages of fairly small print!). But, before you put the catalog aside, I want to encourage you: if you will take just a few moments to get oriented, the catalog really will yield more value than you can imagine.
The article titled "Welcome to the Educational Adventure of a Lifetime" located on pages 2-4 should help you immensely. If you take a moment to read what John Holzmann has written there, you'll have no problem zeroing in on the information you're looking for.
Sincerely,
PS--Please allow extra time for the delivery of your catalog if you live outside of the continental United States.

Dear {FIRSTNAME Friend},
Maybe you're decisive. You've read through the catalog, written a "Pros/Cons" list, decided the best program for your family, and already placed your order.
Then again, maybe you haven't decided anything at all. You've read through the Sonlight catalog (and maybe some others), but, for the life of you, can't figure out what to do with all the information you have.
If you fall into this latter category (as I do much of the time), maybe I can help.
I urge you, if you haven't already, visit the Choosing Forum (http://www.sonlight.com/forums/choosing.cgi) on our web site. Many of us (indeed, most of us at Sonlight) do not homeschool our children. Some of us are single, some of us don't have kids yet, and still others are empty-nesters. So we rely on our customers, who are "in the trenches," to guide first-time customers through the decision-making process. Our customers have invaluable insight (that we who work at Sonlight often don't have), and they love to share it.
If you feel uncomfortable posting in a public forum, or would rather speak with someone directly, contact us and let us know what questions you have. We'll forward them to a Sonlight Curriculum Advisor who will contact you.
Sonlight Curriculum Advisors are Sonlight customers, and they have a lot of homeschooling experience. The Advisor who contacts you will be happy to discuss your individual situation and answer any curriculum questions you may have.
Again, please let us know how we can help you.
Sincerely,
PS--Go to http://www.sonlight.com/choosing.html to access the Choosing area of our web site. There you'll find the Top Ten FAQ, the Answer Index, and the link to the Choosing Forum.
