Affiliate Program details

Currently we do not offer a referral program where customers can enter referral name and address when they register. Instead we have a website referral system, as described below.

We appreciate the word-of-mouth advertising we have received from our customers over the years.
Sonlight has been able to provide curriculum to the homeschooling community as a direct result of “word-of-mouth advertising”. A few years ago we decided to give a Sonlight coupon to thank customers who told their friends about Sonlight. After much deliberation, we have decided to re-direct that marketing effort and eliminate the Finder’s Fee program.
We deeply appreciate customers, like you, that share with friends about Sonlight Curriculum and how it has blessed your family, and value your loyalty.
I would like to point out something that may be of interest to you. We have launched an Affiliate Program from which one can earn commissions. You can read about this exciting new program at http://www.sonlight.com/affiliates.html.

Letter to Open Vision customers

We have received about 50 emails addressed to Sarita exhorting us to keep the relationship going with Open Vision. These emails are in response to an email that John and Ruth Florence sent to their email list of customers. Almost all the inputs addressed the same issues and I believe all can be responded to as shown below. Therefore, I am sending this to all those that sent us an email.

Thank you so much for sharing your heartfelt support of Open Vision Australia and all that the Florence family has done for you. I amresponding to your email on behalf of Sarita Holzmann, our President. We sincerely regret that our decision to terminate our distribution agreement with Open Vision brings such disappointment to you. We did sincerely seek to make this arrangement work, but have concluded that distribution of Sonlight Curriculum is just not workable in this manner -- and the reasons go beyond the loss of "peripheral" options that all Sonlight customers generally receive.

We are working with John and Ruth to mutually conclude this agreement, even as we explore other avenues that MAY be workable to give you and others in Australia a greater opportunity to order and use Sonlight curriculum. We have NOT determined if this is even feasible or what shape such an alternative arrangement might take. We have determined that our initial means to offer distribution will not be pursued.

I assure you that our decision is not a reflection of the wonderful support and devotion to homeschooling that John and Ruth have exemplified. They have done their best to make this work, and in the process, have shown us their pure heart and earnest desire to serve you.

Should we be able to offer some sort of service via Open Vision that is mutually workable in the future, I am certain you will hear from Open Vision at that time. I am truly sorry for any confusion and disappointment as a result of our decision. We pray you will continue to find the means to homeschool your family and enjoy learning together.
