Science Bios - Evolution: The Grand Experiment (GS12)

Book updates:

  • Evolution: The Grand Experiment - we are now carrying the 2014 edition. Content has been updated, but pagination should not be affected.
    • Note - the book refers to a DVD (pages 3 and 30). The DVD is referenced in the book's forward: “To help you develop a deeper understanding of this topic, an ongoing video series, Evolution: The Grand Experiment, is available. This DVD series is not intended to replace the book but serves as a supplement to the material presented.” Since the publisher considers the DVD to be supplemental, we do not include it. (jaw 9.13.16)

Icons of Evolution DVD detail (7.14.09)

The main feature Icons of Evolution is 51 minutes long. The extra 24 minutes (in our 75-minute edition) are found in "special features" included on the DVD. We carry the "Special Edition" DVD, which includes that extra 24 minutes of features. Either version is fine to use with Science 6. We happen to offer the longer version because it is more commonly available and offers additional content of interest.

Science G Tops book for overseas clients

TOPS book, "Analysis": Beginning with Card 12 (and continuing through card 16), they need indicator made from red cabbage. If the customer is unable to locate red cabbage, grape juice should work. The colors will probably be a bit different, but there should be a color change. Test for a color change first by adding the grape juice to some diluted ammonia and then adding a lot of vinegar to that solution. There should be a color change.
