YPWC will not be offered in 2005-2006
Strategy Review Board decided not to offer Your Personal Writing Coach in 2005-2006 school year. Our response to customers is that Sonlight strives to offer high quality products and we will not be able to achieve this level of quality in time for the next school year.
I will work with Ryan to determine how we will communicate this to customers. We will begin communications very soon so they are not surprised when the catalog comes and it's not in there. ALso found in catalog info.
Chart on page 20
On page 20, level 100 is listed as having a separate study guide and answer key. Actually, level 100 has a separate set of student questions.

Sound & Sense

Catalog errors corrected before final print
Well . . . ALMOST final PDFs are up!
Yesterday, late in the afternoon, we decided we needed to make a number of final, significant, last-minute (and, therefore, expensive) changes.
Pp. 89, 90 and 93: The DIVE, Saxon, and Singapore Math options, in the version you see posted, were/are really mis-numbered for the 100 and higher levels. The 170-series stuff that you see in the version online is being renumbered back the way it used to be: however it was to refer to "7th Year." The 270-series stuff you see is being renumbered 170; 370-series becomes 270 ... and so forth. . . .
P. 119, bottom of middle column: How to Read Church History is described, in the version you see, as "Necessary Resource for Grades 300+." But, of course, there is no "Grade 300" or higher. I don't recall the exact replacement wording, but it refers, once more, to 10th Grade and higher.
Pp. 64 & 66, "Advanced Readers 3" and "Core 3 for Advanced Readers": Again, I don't recall all the replacement verbiage, but the gist of the change(s):
1. P. 66: The horrendously confusing section subtitled "These four titles are Four-day Advanced Readers only" has been eliminated.
2. P. 66: There is no 4-Day Advanced Reader set. (No such set by itself.) The one Advanced Reader set will be numbered 3X00.
3. P. 64: There are 4- and 5-Day Advanced Reader CORE programs; however, as you might suspect, based on item #2, if a person purchases the 4-Day Advanced Reader Core, s/he will wind up with a few unscheduled Readers. (Do you think that is going to bother many parents or students? We don't think so! These are advanced readers, after all! They are always looking for extra books!)
P. 22, title: "(Con't)" has been changed to "(Cont')." --Let me say that I was deeply chagrined to discover that "(Cont')" appears throughout the catalog (it should be "(Cont.)" or "(Contd.)." But I settled for it because by the time I discovered it, the printing plates had all been burned, and the misspelling already appeared on 56 pages; "(Con't)" appeared on only one page. . . . So by changing"(Con't)" to "(Cont')," at least our misspelling will be consistent!
On the last page of the BURST (a copy of which, it appears, you don't have), we eliminated a comment I made about valuing the forums and the BEAM. . . .
Hope this is helpful.
The catalog is actually being printed beginning today so we are now truly stuck with any additional errors.
