Sonlight is
looking for a few enthusiastic product testers!

Dear Judy,
I'm super excited and a bit anxious,
all at the same time. Why? Sonlight is in the process of building an
electronic product that has the potential to greatly enhance your
homeschooling experience – but we need some feedback on the product
before we go any further.
Your frontline experience is invaluable
As a parent and homeschooler, you
know how your kids learn best and what you need to make your day run
smoothly. Would you be
willing to give an hour of your valuable time this week? If so, I'd like
your input to help us test our product in its current stage of
development to determine if it will truly meet your needs (as well as
those of your fellow Sonlighters).
Sound intriguing? If you agree to
help us, you'll get in on the ground floor of testing and gain an
insider's first-look at the product. Your thoughtful evaluation may well
affect the final outcome.
Shhh, please!
Because we're still in the
development stage and are NOT ready to release this product, we don't
want to make an announcement to the public until it's truly ready. If
you'd like to participate in the process, I ask that you agree not to share any information
about the product or your involvement at this time. In fact,
prior to making it available for your testing, I'll need you to commit to
keep the project quiet. Please
reply to this email to confirm your agreement to these terms. We will
then share a video link to get you started.
What we need to know
Keep in mind that like any new
product, this will have "bugs" because we're still working to
make it the best it can be. That means you don't need to worry about or
report any errors (unless, of course, they affect your ability to use or
assess the program).
I'm most interested in the
big-picture questions:
- Do
you believe this tool would be helpful to homeschoolers?
- If
available, would you use it?
- What
might make it better?
- Should
we proceed or, in your mind, is it not worth the effort?
It'll be easy, and even fun!
If you're interested, the video link
you'll receive provides additional information and lets you register and
get started. We'll take you through an easy step-by-step process that
lets you use and get a taste for how this new product will work in the
real world. You'll get a chance to "play around" and discover
the possibilities. I think you'll find the experience interesting,
insightful and maybe even fun!
Take it for a test drive, and then tell us what you think
As soon as you let us know you're
willing to help and agree to keep the information confidential for now,
we'll send you the link to the video. After you've had a chance to check
out the product and are ready to report back (or if you experience any
difficulties along the way), simply send an email to [email protected]
and tell us what you think. We want to keep moving forward, so I'd
appreciate if you could spend an hour (or more, if you want) with the new
product and provide
feedback no later than May 1, please.
