Subject:                                Why Radio? (Reminder: Register now for your "Pocket Guide to the Great Commission")

Dear Sonlight,

Why would Sonlight partner with a missions agency for a crazy learning adventure? Why has that missions agency created videos, learning adventures, and a pocket guide to the Great Commission for your children?

Because we believe this project will change lives.

Your children can learn what life is like for millions of children and families in Asia who have never heard of Jesus. Your kids can see the hope that Jesus offers everyone. With every $15 your family gives, your children can practice generosity and directly help one family in Asia hear the Gospel (via radio) for the very first time.

For many families in Asia, a chance to hear the Gospel on the radio changes everything. How? Watch a short video called Why Radio to see the need for and impact of Far East Broadcasting Company's radios.

If you haven't already, please register in order to get the most from this project. Even though FEBC does not plan to mail welcome kits (including a magazine, bookmark and "radio bank") to international addresses, your children will still reap a lot from this adventure. If you register, you will be able to download a PDF of the magazine, and FEBC will email you when each week's new video and activities are posted online (starting Sept. 25). You'll stay in the loop throughout the project as your children watch Phoenix Phaxx' global journey, read the stories, learn cool facts, and discover the excitement of the Great Commission. Registration is free and does not obligate you to give.

Get started today.

Hope to see you on this journey,

P.S. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical at first of the need for radios. I mean, in the age of technology, why should we distribute wind-up radios? But then I learned the stats in the video Why Radio. Did you know that 67% of the world's population still doesn't have internet access? And of course, many of them don't even have electricity. While the church works to send missionaries to each remote village and language group, FEBC's radio waves reach many of those people right now, in their own language. A simple wind-up radio gives one family ... even an entire village access to this life-changing message. I see now why John and Sarita passionately support this ministry!
