Subject:                          Sonlight summer picks: time to start exploring!

Dear Sonlight,

We're winding down the Sonlight school year in the Heil household … which means it's time to find something entertaining and enriching to occupy the kids. I'm sure you can relate!

By now you know about Sonlight Summer Explorations – a no-pressure, fun-in-the-sun way to fill those long summer hours. We've put together more than 100 options from which to choose. See anything here that might pique your family's interest?

Art you can appreciate

The Non-Designer's Design Book – If you don't know the four basic principles of design, you soon will. Find your inner artist as you learn tips and tricks for creating business cards, newsletters, brochures, websites and more.

Mark Kistler's Draw Squad – Do your kids love doodling? Take their skills to a new level using the zany shortcuts of the popular TV host who has taught 10 million would-be artists of all ages to draw.

Computer programming that's got game (and more)

KidCoder and TeenCoder series – Windows, Game, Java and Android programming courses help your 4th–12th grade computer aficionados develop real-world skills (no prior experience required).

Music that plays well with everyone

Piano Wizard Academy – Learn to play the piano … by playing a video game. Really. What could be easier or more fun?

Classics for Kids – 72 minutes of 23 classic tunes, including The Nutcracker, Brahms' Lullaby, Carnival of the Animals, and The Sorcerer's Apprentice, make this CD a crowd-pleasing road trip companion.

Geography that takes you places – from Maryland to Malaysia to Mars

Puzzles – Where do you wanna go this summer? Take an amazing journey, from near (the U.S., 55 jumbo pieces, ages 4+) to far (the world, 600 pieces, Top Educational Resource of the Year award) to distant galaxies (the solar system, 500 planet-shaped pieces, ages 8+).

But wait, there's more …

Sonlight Summer Explorations has a little of something for everyone. Check it out: Art appreciation, Art skills, Bible, Computers, Geography, Math, Music appreciation, Music skills, Physical education, Public speaking, Reading, Science and other cool topics.

I hope your summer is off to a good start. Let my team know if there's anything we can do to help your family have a Sonsational season!

Happy explorations,
