My Passport to India is
back online!
|
Dear Customer,
You may remember that Sonlight
families took a thrilling virtual tour through the cities and villages of
India last fall. Our friends over at Mission
India produced an incredible online video program and took us
around by plane, train and rickshaw to see the "real India."
After the 5-week adventure,
Sonlighters joined to raise over $314,000 for the children we met on that
journey. That money has been hard at work sending over 314,000 Indian
children to Bible Clubs run by Mission India. These clubs provide a safe
and fun place for Indian children to be part of a loving group and learn
about Jesus.
My Passport to
India was so successful last year, I'm delighted that
Mission India has decided to release it again. If you came along for the
journey last year, I'd like to invite you join us again. If you missed
the adventure last year, come find out what the excitement is about.
A special learning and giving adventure
In this self-paced giving and
learning project, you and your kids will travel with your tour guide,
Chris. You'll get to tag along on his first trip to India as he
experiences the beautiful, intriguing and difficult realities of that
nation. As Chris visits projects from Mission India, you'll get to see
some of the amazing work God is doing in this country of over 1 billion
people.

Then, you'll have the chance to
participate in that work. It only takes one dollar to send an Indian
child to a life-changing Bible Club. My husband John and I are so excited
about this work, we've committed to match each gift from now through
Labor Day (September 5), up to $100,000.
So for every dollar you
and your children give, two children will get to go to a Children's Bible
Club!

Then, at your own pace, you can watch
the ten videos and explore the many supplemental materials at the bottom
of each page. The whole program works together to help your family
discover the "real India" and get excited about the work God is
doing there.
Since its debut last fall, the My Passport to India
program has won several awards for videography and educational
excellence. It's just that good.
Here's what one Sonlight mom said
about the program:
On behalf of my family, I
would like to thank you for the amazing experience we have had completing
the My Passport to India
journey. It touched all our hearts in an amazing way. My 7-year-old
daughter was particularly blessed by this experience. The children of
India are constantly in her thoughts.
Thank you for
providing such a wonderful opportunity for all of us to learn about the
world beyond our front doors. —polyanna, November 2010
