Dear Customer,
I've recently flown to India, visited
a fisherman's slum, stopped by a Children's Bible Club and shared a meal
with a rural Indian family. And I haven't even left Colorado!
Thousands of fellow Sonlighters and I
are tagging along online with My Passport to India. So far we've had
quite the ride.
To help you get the most from this
project, Mission India asked me to email you today for two reasons:
- If you've already signed up,
please know the project is now in full swing. You should
be getting an email every Tuesday and Thursday telling you when each
new episode becomes available. I don't want you to miss this
exciting Indian adventure, so if you are not receiving the emails:
- Please check your "junk email"
folder to see if they were mistakenly redirected there.
- Then be sure to add [email protected]
to your "Safe Senders" list.
- If you've done both these things and you're
still not receiving any emails, contact Mission India at [email protected].
- You can wait for your reminder email each
Tuesday and Thursday or just pop over to www.mypassporttoindia.com to see
the latest content. Once a video becomes available, you can access
it throughout this journey. Head over there now to watch the
first five videos and browse lots of bonus content.
- It's not too late to join in on
the fun or invite other friends along. Anyone
can register at www.mypassporttoindia.com. If
you're already participating, keep it up. We're exactly halfway through
Chris' video tour today.
In case you're wondering, it's also
not too early to donate. You can give as often as you like. Any and every
gift you make between now and November 17 will be doubled by Sonlight.
We're matching you dollar for dollar, up to $167,000! Click
here to give.
If you have access to the Sonlight
Forums, find some fun discussion and trouble-shooting tips on
the My Passport to India forum.
It sounds like Sonlighters really
appreciate what Mission India has put together so far. I know I do!
Here's what one mom had to say:
"I couldn't help but cry when we
viewed the Day 2 video and saw how the kids live in the slums. My son
didn't show much emotion (he doesn't), but he immediately got out his
bank and put a bunch of change in the box. This is such a great
opportunity for my son to learn about the spiritual and physical needs of
other and to see how God is working. Thank you!"
--Classical Mom, Oct. 2010
May God multiply our efforts in this
project! As we learn and give together, may He deeply bless the children
of India.
Blessings,
Sarita Holzmann
President
