Dear Sonlight,
My wife and I love to give our three
children fun, enriching experiences. So when Sonlight and Far
East Broadcasting Company (FEBC) decided to team up for an
exciting learning and giving adventure, I was thrilled.
You are officially
invited to join my family and other Sonlighters for Phoenix
Phaxx' Pocket Guide to the Great Commission. Long name, I
know. But this 6-week learning and giving opportunity will change lives.

Your children will learn
about the Great Commission,
explore the world and bless children who have yet to hear the Good News
in Russia, Indonesia, Cambodia and South Korea. Your children get to see
how other people worship, how that compares to our own faith, and how the
Good News offers everyone hope!
As your children learn about the
world, your family will also have the opportunity to help families find
hope. Through this project, we
hope to raise enough money to give 10,000 families a wind-up radio with
access to FEBC's Gospel broadcasts in their own language!
Toward that end, John and Sarita
promise that for every $1 your family contributes, Sonlight will match
you dollar-for-dollar, up to $150,000. So between all of us Sonlighters,
we could raise $300,000 total.
It only costs $30 to provide one
family with a portable, wind-up radio. And FEBC reports that one radio
often reaches 25 people in the village! So $300,000 has the potential to
help reach 250,000 people with the Gospel message!

Each week,
you'll follow your homeschooled tour guide, 13-year-old Phoenix
Phaxx (not his real name, but he is a real homeschooler) as
he explores the religion and culture of a nation. Plus, you'll have the
opportunity to help children in these countries find hope. With
Sonlight's matching gift, your family's contribution will go a long
way!

your welcome kit* before this learning adventure starts. You'll receive a
special magazine-style "pocket guide to the Great Commission."
You'll get a small "radio bank " to fill with your loose change
and dollars. And you'll get what you need to stay in the loop for 6
exciting weeks of activities (starting Sept. 25). Registration is free

P.S. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical
at first of the need for radios. I mean, in the age of technology, why
should we distribute wind-up radios?
But then I learned the stats in FEBC's video Why Radio.
Did you know that 67% of the world's population still doesn't have
internet access? And of course, many of them don't even have electricity.
While the church works to send missionaries to each remote village and
language group, FEBC's radio waves reach many of those people right now,
in their own language. A simple wind-up radio gives one family ... even
an entire village access to this life-changing message. I see now why
John and Sarita passionately support this ministry!
*FEBC plans to mail
welcome kits to U.S. and Canadian addresses only. But if you live outside
the U.S. or Canada, we still hope you will register and join us! You will
still receive emailed reminders prior to each new video release and
special messages throughout the project. Your children can still watch
