this note to you today because in the past we've shipped orders for you to an

(Sonlight), like all businesses and consumers, have experienced significant
increases in shipping costs during 2007, and going into 2008. As a consequence,
when you place a new order this coming year, we will not be able to fully shield
you from feeling the increase.
Your
APO/FPO shipping address bears an additional burden: though for other domestic
addresses Sonlight may use private shipping companies (like FedEx®, with whom we
negotiate excellent rates), our ONLY option for all
So, for the
next week, we want to ease your transition into Sonlight's new shipping rates...
For the
week of Tuesday, April 1st (today) through Monday, April 7th (at midnight
Mountain Time, US) Sonlight will pay 50%
of your total shipping cost on every order you have us ship to an APO, FPO, or any
address outside the continental (lower 48) United States and
Canada. Because we have now loaded the new rates into the
ordering system on our 2008 website, the shipping charge on your order will
(initially) show the full rate. However, we will adjust your actual shipping
charge before we process
your payment—you will pay only half the new shipping rates.
I do need
to add: This one-week "international shipping" special offer applies
only to the shipping charges
shown automatically when you
order on our website at Sonlight.com. Those charges are calculated based on the
new 2008
International Shipping Category Rates Chart, which is available on our
website and printed on page 161 of the Sonlight 2008 catalog. Please note, this
special offer will NOT apply to special shipping arrangements, such as overnight
and other rush shipping or delivery via DHL and other special freight carriers.
I recognize
that shouldering added costs when you live at a distance from where you get the
things you need for everyday life can be very tough. I hope this transition to
our new shipping rates will help.
