Dear Marketing,
I trust you have enjoyed your study
of American History this year with your Sonlight Core. In April, I
emailed to recommend you consider Core F: Eastern
Hemisphere for the coming year. As you may know, the
Instructor's Guide for Core F is currently on backorder. I'm writing to
let you know that last week we regrettably had to push back the ship date
for that guide.
You can expect to be able to download the first 3 weeks of
the Core F guide starting on June 29. For now, I invite
you to browse a
special mini sample of the first week of the Core F IG.
With the new schedule, we plan to start shipping the Core F guides on
July 31. However, you may order Core F any time; we will ship the rest of
your order when you purchase.
I sincerely apologize that we have
failed to finish the Core F Instructor's Guide by the date we originally
promised, and I apologize for the terrible inconvenience this likely
causes you.
If you hope to start school before
early August, my team is ready to help you get the materials you need
when you need them. In addition to posting the 3-week sample as soon as
it is ready, we
plan to photocopy the first 6 weeks of the guide when we
send the complete guide to the printer in late June. If you order the
Core F Instructor's Guide before the complete guide is ready to ship, we
will mail you one of these photocopies.
We also plan to post a "sneak
peek" on May 17. While not a full 3-week sample, this sneak peek
will give you more of an idea of what to expect with your new Core F
Instructor's Guide.
Another important note is that after
the full Instructor's Guide is in house and ready to ship, the price for
the Core F Package will increase by $30. Order before July 31 to get the full Core package
at the current price. When we originally calculated the
price for the Core F, we failed to account for a few books in the
package. So as of August 1, the price will increase $30 to account for
those books. Note that the price for the individual Instructor's Guide
will not change.
Here is a summary of the timeline you
can expect:
- Now: See an
online mini sample of the Core F Instructor's Guide.
- June 29: Download
the first 3 weeks of the guide.
- Late June: We will
photocopy the first 6 weeks of the guide. If you have ordered the
Core F IG before late June we will mail these copies to you. If you
order between late June and July 31 we will include those copies
with your order.
- July 31: We expect
to have the completed guides back from the printer. If you have
already ordered, we will ship your full guide right away.
- August 1: The price
for the full Core F package (but not the individual Instructor's
Guide) will increase by $30.
Though we have obviously hit unforeseen
snags in the development of this re-designed Instructor's Guide, we are
still working diligently to bring you the level of quality you expect and
deserve from Sonlight. If you choose to purchase Core F, I trust you will
find the Instructor's Guide to be an extremely valuable and easy-to-use
tool.

weeks, and then again when the entire guide is ready to ship.
