Dear Sonlight,
I am writing to give you an update on
your backordered title Basic
American Government. Regrettably, the publisher of this title
encountered a problem with their printer that prevented them from
reprinting this title when they expected and promised us—and in turn you
expected from us. Working with the publisher, we just obtained permission
to print the book ourselves, so we are now in the process of getting this
title printed. We estimate the turnaround to be approximately 3-4 weeks,
plus the time it takes to ship. To decrease the delay as much as
possible, we asked our printer to ship an initial run to us via overnight
shipping so that we can ship the book to you as soon as possible.
I am aware that this title is vital
for your student's government studies for this year, so I offer some
suggestions to help your student get started. Only the Government portion
of your Core 400 studies will be impacted by the delay in Basic American Government.
Please feel free to continue on with your History, Historical Fiction,
and American Literature assignments. Your Creative Expression assignments
in Core 400 are also unaffected by this delay until week 26.
Nonetheless, if you would like to
cancel your backordered copy of Basic
American Government, we will be happy to do so for you with
no impact on your Core club status. If you would like to continue to wait
on this title, we will be happy to ship it to you as soon as it arrives
in our warehouse.

Please note, we will not provide any
schedule or study guide notes for these substitutions to our preferred
title, Basic American
Government.
